How to Delete a Virus after Scan in Avast-Antivirus?

Avast is an open source antivirus which is available as both paid and free. It is the best antivirus for both personal and professional use. Avast has a service named "Real-Time shield" that scan-detect and take necessary action for viruses in Background. But whenever we scan a file or folder manually and avast get some virus then it will detect and show you the result but don't take any action. So you need to do that manually. The below process will show you how to delete a detected virus in Avast .
1. Scan the file and Folder or any External device using Avast.
2. After scan is complete it will show you the report to that Scan which will contain the total scan time, Number of tested files and folder, Total size of the scanned memory and the number of infected files.
3.  Click on "Show Results".
4.  It will show a detail report of total infected files. You can choose a particular action for each infected virus file by choosing an option from the drop down menu of "Action".
5.  If you want to do a particular action for all infected files then choose an option from the drop down menu of "Apply this action for all" at the bottom of the details report of open Window.
6. Click on "Apply". Necessary action Will be carried out.

Meaning of Various action in Avast Action Center

Move To Chest: It will move the virus file to a secure folder (Chest) of avast where that file will not affect your system anymore.
Repair: It will remove the virus and repair the infected files.
Delete: It will delete the infected file immediately.
Do Nothing: It will not take any action to the virus file and leave it.

How to Make a virus and Test Your Anti-Virus that whether it is working properly or not?(Windows XP,Vista,7)


Some times we face a problem like our anti virus is not showing virus during scanning but we face various problem that may be due to present of virus. In that case we should check our Anti-Virus program that whether it is working or not.

Procedure:

1. Open your notepad or word pad or any other text editor what you have.
2. Copy the following bolded text

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

3. Now save the text editor file and give it a .exe extension. (Suppose virus.exe)
4. If your antivirus detect it as a virus then it is properly working.
5. If no then it is not properly working or corrupted or the validity of the antivirus has expired. So better to change the anti virus to keep your system secure from malware or virus.
